What is APICS CLTD?
The CLTD program covers essential logistics and distribution topics, including strategy, demand
forecasting, and capacity planning. It addresses customer and order management, warehouse
optimization, inventory control, and transportation across multiple modes. It also covers global logistics
regulations, sustainability, reverse logistics, risk management, and logistics network design with a
focus on continuous improvement and digital transformation.
Certification Exam
When you’re ready—whether you've completed a course or finished your self-study—you can
schedule your certification exam. The APICS certification exam is available on-demand year-round
through ASCM’s testing partner, Pearson VUE.
You have two options for taking the exam:
- At a testing center: Pearson VUE has test centers located globally. You can search for a
nearby location when registering. - Online via OnVUE: Prefer to test from home? Simply register and choose the online proctored
exam option through the OnVUE system.
The exam includes 150 questions, and you'll have 3.5 hours to complete it. A score of 300 out of 350
is required to pass.
Structure of the APICS CLTD study
The course consists of nine modules. APICS CLTD targets logistics professionals who are responsible for controlling processes in the fields of transport and distribution as part of their daily work.
The modules are covered in 10 three-hour sessions. The lecturer takes you through the theory and discusses many practical examples.
CLTD study options
Our APICS CLTD training courses come in several kinds of study programmes. Offering course participants a choice is logical as far as we are concerned. After all, people study at different paces and some don’t like taking classes in the traditional way. At Proqua, it’s up to you to decide how you prepare for the exams.
Preparing for the CLTD exams
- Bachelor level
- Good reading skills in English, (the textbooks and the exams are in English).
- The correct study material for preparation. In this case, the compulsory APICS CLTD Learning System.
- Having enough study time for preparation and homework and having an active, participatory attitude during lessons.
- Taking your exams straight after the course. Then the knowledge you have acquired is still fresh.
